The Amazing Mission Specialists of Rasco Middle School
I want to introduce you to an amazing group of BISD Rasco Middle School students, Mission Specialists.
Mission Specialists at Rasco Middle School is a student organization that focuses on conducting community service projects throughout the school year. Their goal is to create opportunities for students to serve their community and make a difference in the lives of others. Some of the past projects have included food drives, toy drives, and fundraising for families/organizations in need. They also take advantage of guest speakers and visiting organization facilities to learn more about how our work impacts the community.
Students have to go through a true application process, including why they want to join, how they want to help out their community and also a teacher evaluation from their current teachers. We have 4 sponsors that contribute a great deal to this student organization (Monica Dingee, Stephanie Gay, Lesley McGehee, and Tiffany Mixon).
