Jaycie Fort, 5th grade student at Rasco Middle School, excels both in the classroom and in the swimming pool. While maintaining an A average, Jaycie works hard to be amongst the top in her age group in competitive swimming. She has recently qualified for the state competition within USA swim (Texas Age Group Championship) in both her 50 yard breaststroke and her 50 yard backstroke. She is working to qualify in other events before the state competition in March. Jaycie is a member of the Lake Jackson Aquatic Club, a USA swimming club. USA swimming “is comprised of swimmers from the age group level to the Olympic Team” (
usaswimming.com) and is a highly competitive swim league.
